Novis Trip (“Novis Trip”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website, book a taxi or tour, submit an enquiry, or register as a driver/vehicle partner, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. It is intended to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.

1. Who we are

Novis Trip is a travel business offering taxi hire, curated tour packages and custom trips across Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Amritsar (Punjab), India. You can reach us at novistrip@gmail.com or +919697169311.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details - your name, phone number and email address.
  • Enquiry & booking details - pickup and drop locations, travel dates, number of travellers, vehicle or tour package chosen, and any message or preferences you share.
  • Payment information - collected and processed by our third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card, UPI or bank details on our servers.
  • Driver / vehicle-partner information - if you register on our partner (“Drive with us”) programme, we collect your name, contact details, and vehicle details, and may collect documents required to verify you (such as a driving licence, vehicle registration, permit and insurance).

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage & device data - such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring links, collected through cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand usage.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and confirm, manage and fulfil your bookings.
  • To assign a suitable driver and vehicle and coordinate your trip.
  • To contact you (by call, SMS, WhatsApp or email) about your enquiry, booking or trip.
  • To verify and onboard driver/vehicle partners.
  • To operate, maintain, secure and improve our website and services.
  • To send you offers or updates - only where you have opted in, and you can opt out at any time.
  • To comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations and to resolve disputes.

We process your information on the basis of your consent, to perform the service you request, and to meet our legal obligations.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed:

  • Drivers & vehicle owners - we share the details necessary to carry out your trip (such as your name, contact number and pickup/drop details) with the assigned driver or partner.
  • Service providers - payment gateways, hosting, communication (SMS/WhatsApp/email) and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
  • Legal & safety - with authorities, regulators or courts where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of you, us or others.
  • Business transfers - in connection with a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to this policy.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and to understand and improve usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above - for example, to service your booking, maintain business and tax records, and comply with the law - after which we delete or anonymise it.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures - including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and secure hosting - to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy.
  • Ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to erase your data where it is no longer required.
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave (this will not affect processing already carried out).
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act.

9. Children

Our services are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental/guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
